Live-in couple found dead in Greater Noida, probe on
A man and a woman in a live-in relationship were found dead under suspicious circumstances in Greater Noida. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are investigating all possible angles in the case
Noida (UP): A man and a woman, both in their 20s and living together in rented accommodation in Greater Noida, were found dead under suspicious circumstances, police said on Thursday.
Guddu Paswan alias Golu (27) was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the couple’s rented room, while the 24-year-old woman, Jyoti, was found lying on the floor. Both were natives of Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district.
The incident came to light on Wednesday night in an area under the Knowledge Park police station limits. The couple were in a live-in relationship, officials said.
The woman was employed as a member of the housekeeping staff at a hospital, while the man was unemployed, police said.
Police carried out an on-site inspection. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem after completion of the inquest proceedings.
Family members of the deceased have reached the spot, the officials said.
“All aspects of the case are being thoroughly investigated,” police said.
