‘LoveBox’ spreading happiness with customised gifts
From customised moon lamps with pictures to engraved pens, key chains, diaries, magic pillows and others, city-based techie Shravani Kunchakuri’s TheLoveBox has it all
Hyderabad: All of us love getting gifts as it makes us feel loved and goes on to say that the one who is gifting us, has been thinking about us. An added touch is when the gift is customised to suit our tastes or specifically for us.
Enabling happiness with customised gifts is city-based techie Shravani Kunchakuri, who runs the instagram page TheLoveBox, where she gets customised gifts made upon request. From customised moon lamps with pictures to engraved pens, key chains, diaries, magic pillows and many more, TheLoveBox has them all.
It was an attempt at starting a business, with a dash of creativity and without any investment that led to the inception of TheLoveBox, as Shravani shares, “Last year, during the lockdown, I wanted to start something on my own. I knew it had to be something that doesn’t require any investment as I wanted to start from scratch and I also wanted it to have creativity involved. After some research, I zeroed down on customised gifts as it also involves happiness along with the above factors.”
Any attempt at starting a business needs encouragement and support from the ones near us. “The first order that TheLoveBox received was from my friends and they placed the order to gift it to me, wishing me the best for my baby-steps. It gave me the much-needed encouragement at going ahead,” shares the 24-year-old.
Since the time she started it in August 2020, the young girl has delivered over 200 gifts all over the country, with the most popular gifts being customised wallets, named photo frames and digital oil paintings.
“TheLoveBox’s gifts start from Rs 350 and go up till Rs 1,500 or so, with the average gift costing about Rs 800, making it a very affordable way to gift,” she says. “When customers approach me on instagram, I take their inputs, get a design done according to their requirements and make iterations if necessary based on their feedback and the gift is delivered within 8-10 days,” adds Shravani.
