Hyderabad: The Vanasthalipuram police caught a truck which was transporting low intensity explosives on Thursday night. The explosives, allegedly used for film shootings, were being taken from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra.
Police said the truck was loaded with the consignment by Navatha Transport Company at Chilakaluripet of Guntur on Monday to be transported to Pune via Hyderabad.
Following a tip-off, the police stopped the truck and found about 100 jute balls packed with explosive material in them. The driver was taken into custody. Vanasthalipuram police said the facts were being verified.
