Sangareddy: Finance Minister and senior Telangana Rashrta Samithi (TRS) leader T Harish Rao said that the leaders who worked as loyalists to Andhra leaders, will never draw any support from the people of Telangana.

Sadasivapet MPP Yadamma, six Sarpanches from the mandal, other key leaders of Congress party and over 500 Congress party workers joined TRS in the presence of the Senior TRS leader and Former Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar during a programme in Sadasivapet on Saturday.

Addressing them, the Minister said that the people of Telangana will chase loyalists of YS Rajashekar Reddy, N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Nara Chandrababu Naidu to the Andhra border. Saying that the some people were trying to enter the politics in Telangana by founding new parties, Rao said that people of Telangana will never forget how YS Rajashekar Reddy attempted to suppress the Telangana movement. He said Reddy never even allowed the Telangana leaders raise the issues pertaining to region in the State Assembly. When the rest of the Congress leaders remained calm in Assembly, he said that TRS MLAs had raised their voice for the cause of Telangana. He said that people of the Telangana taught Congress party and Chandrababu Naidu a fitting lesson when they forged an alliance in 2018 elections. Rao said the people here know how Andhra leaders did injustice for over seven decades by stealing our share of water, funds, resources and employment for over 70 years.

He recalled how a leader from Sangareddy opposed the creation of the State even Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy urged the Centre to merge Sangareddy in Karnataka if the Centre creates Telangana.

Saying that Congress party workers and leaders were joining in TRS since they were impressed by the welfare and development programmes introduced by Chief Minister K Chadrashekar Rao, the Minister said people will believe the leaders who work for Telangana’s development, but nothing else.
