Madhapur police detain man posing as journalist at city event

Madhapur police detained a man who posed as a journalist at an event on Friday. Reporters grew suspicious after seeing him with a bag full of mikes carrying major news channel logos. He failed to give a credible explanation and was taken into custody.

HYDERABAD: The Madhapur police detained an alleged fake journalist at an event on Friday.

The man, whom the police did not identify, had come to the event posing as a journalist and carried a bag full of mikes bearing logos of national level news channels.


The reporters who were attending the event got suspicious on spotting the man carrying a bunch of mikes and cornered him.

After the man failed to give convincing reply the police were informed. The Madhapur police detained the man and shifted him to the police station. The police are investigating.
