‘Maha Annakut Mahotsav’ to be celebrated at Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gau Nivas on Sunday

Hyderabad: South India’s biggest Goushala, Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gau Nivas located on 8 acres of land and home to about 6000 cows rescued from slaughterhouses, is organizing a Maha Annakut Celebration here at its premises at Peddammagadda, Gaganpahad on Sunday. It will also celebrate its 24th Anniversary.
On this day, Pandit Sri Harishchandraji Kulkarni will perform Mahalaxmi Punchkundiya Mahayagnam, which will be followed by mellifluous bhajans by Anirudhji. The special guest Deeptiji, an organic farmer and truth seeker would address some critical environmental issues.

As part of the Diwali celebrations, Hindus worldwide cook various vegetarian items of food, snacks, sweets, pickles and delicacies as offerings to God. Traditionally Annakut symbolised devotion by offering and distributing the first harvest to all.
Satyam Shivam Sundaram (SSS) Gau Nivas was established by Dharam Raj Ranka, an 84-year-old man with a mission to protect India’s most revered animal cow.
