Mahabubabad army jawan still untraced after 5 days
Mood Naveen, a 28-year-old army jawan from Giripuram village in Mahabubabad, has been missing since July 11. His abandoned car, with a pesticide bottle and phone inside, was found near Srisailam dam. Police and family members are searching for him

Mahabubabad: The whereabouts of army jawan Mood Naveen, who reportedly went missing on July 11, are yet to be found.
Naveen’s family members lodged a complaint with the Eagalpenta police in Nagarkurnool district about his disappearance. Army officials visited the village two days ago and spoke to the family, assuring help in tracing Naveen.
A missing case was also lodged at Maripeda police station by the family. Naveen’s brothers are searching for him in the surroundings of the Srisailam dam, where the army jawan’s car was found abandoned. A pesticide bottle and his mobile phone were found in the vehicle.
He was said to have called one of his relatives before his disappearance and told him that he had consumed pesticide. He also asked the relative to look after his wife, who had recently undergone surgery following an illness.
Naveen had come to the village on leave because of his wife’s illness. The 28-year-old, who belongs to Giripuram village in Maripeda mandal of the district, was stationed in New Delhi.
