Mahabubabad: Ravuri Raju, (ASWO), Mahabubabad, and District Scheduled Caste Development Officer (DSCDO) (Full Additional Charge), Mahabubabad, was caught red-handed in his house while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from one Kunamalla Balaraju, a hostel Warden, SC Boys Hostel, Maripeda, on Monday.
According to an ACB release, Raju accepted the cash through Gujjeti Guru Charan, a watchman at his office. Raju demanded the bribe for processing and forwarding the supplementary salary bill of the complainant. Both the DSCDO and watchman were arrested and would be produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
