Mahabubabad: Seventeen women injured in horrific road accident

Mahabubabad: Seventeen women were injured, five of them critically in a horrific road accident that occurred near Peddanagaram village in Narsimhulupeta village here on Friday morning, police said.

The injured have been shifted to a hospital, and condition of five of them was stated to be life-threatening, while eight others sustained very serious injuries. Others suffered minor but bleeding injuries,


The victims, all daily wage workers, were from Cherlapalem and Fatehpuram villages and were travelling in an autorickshaw to work for harvesting mirchi. Further detalls are awaited.
