Mahabubnagar: Three persons, including two women, died and three others sustained injuries when an autorickshaw collided with a car near Appayapally on National Highway 167 on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Jyothi and Vijayarani, employees of Devarkadra MPDO office and the autorickshaw driver.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the car, which was heading towards Devarkadra, collided with the autorickshaw while overtaking another vehicle. All the injured were shifted to Government General Hospital, Mahabubnagar. Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud expressed shock over the incident and directed the district officials to provide the best treatment to the injured.
The Minister instructed the officials to shift the injured to Hyderabad if required for better treatment. District Collector S. Venkat Rao visited the GGH, Mahabubnagar and instructed the hospital Superintendent Dr Ramkishan to provide the best treatment.
