Celebrities across the film industries and politicians on Thursday wished actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna on his birthday.

Wishes also poured in from fans on social media too with the hashtags #HappyBirthdayNBK #Balayya.

Megastar Chiranjeevi wrote on his Twitter page, “I wish my friend Balakrishna on his birthday. I pray and hope that you lead a happy and healthy life.”

Mahesh Babu tweeted saying, “A very happy birthday #Balakrishna garu. Good health and happiness always. Have a memorable year!”

Jr NTR posted a throwback picture of Balayya and wrote, “A very happy birthday uncle. I wish and pray you lead a happy and joyful life.”.

Producer Kona Venkat posted a picture of him along with Balakrishna. “My best birthday wishes to dear Nandamuri Balakrishna garu.. A thorough gentleman and an excellent actor !! Wishing him many more challenging characters, great health and happiness always,” he tweeted.

Making his acting debut with the movie ‘Tatamma Kala’ (Great-Grandmother’s Dream) in the year 1974, at the age of 14, Balakrishna went on to cement his place in the Telugu film industry with back-to-back blockbusters as a protagonist.

Some of his noted hits are ‘Bhairava Dweepam’, ‘Rowdy Inspector’, ‘Aditya 369’, ‘Samarasimha Reddy’, ‘Narasimha Naidu’, ‘Simha’ among others. The actor is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘Akhanda’ which is being directed by Boyapati Srinu.
