Hyderabad: Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute (RCHI) on Saturday launched Pure Little Hearts Foundation (PLHF) for Children’s Cardiac Care, which will be dedicated to enable poor and needy parents who often struggle to raise funds so that their young children can undergo complex and expensive heart surgeries.
The PLHF will focus on establishing, maintaining and granting financial aid or other assistance for giving cardiovascular relief to the sick children of the economically-sensitive class.
On Saturday, actor Mahesh Babu, who is associated with Rainbow Hospitals for over two-decades, launched the Pure Little Hearts Foundation (PLHF) on Saturday. “Children have always been close to my heart and I am happy to support children who need cardiac care at RCHI through the Mahesh Babu Foundation. Tiny hearts deserve the greatest care” he said.
Chairman, PLHF, Dr Chinnaswamy Reddy, said “cardiac procedures in children is primarily a one-time effort, it helps the child lead a productive life and helps the country prosper. But the young parents struggle to arrange funds for the treatment.”
CMD of Rainbow Children’s Hospitals, Dr Ramesh Kancharla said RCHI was launched in 2019 as one of the largest stand-alone pediatric cardiac hospitals in India with 100 beds to provide an opportunity for many children to lead a normal life. Dr. Nageswara Rao Koneti, Chief Cardiologist, Director, RCHI and other senior doctors were present.
