Mahila Congress president, 200 workers join BRS in Medak
In a setback to the Congress party ahead of gram panchayat elections, 200 workers led by former sarpanch Alugula Satyanarayana of Pedda Shankarampet joined the BRS in Medak district. Mahila Congress district president Bhavani Narsimha Chary also defected, along with other leaders, in the presence of former Minister T Harish Rao.

Medak: The Congress party suffered a jolt in Narayankhed Assembly constituency ahead of the gram panchayat elections as 200 workers of the party under the leadership of Pedda Shankarampet former sarpanch Alugula Satyanarayana joined the BRS in the presence of former Minister T Harish Rao.
Mahila Congress Medak district president Bhavani Narsimha Chary and other leaders joined the BRS at Pedda Shankarampet. Harish Rao called upon them to put up a collective fight in local body elections to teach a lesson to the Congress Party in the coming elections for failing to keep the promises it made during the assembly elections.
He suggested exposing the Congress by educating the people on how the party cheated them after coming to power by making false promises. The senior BRS leader said the administration had gone astray in panchayats as the government failed to grant any funds during the past two years.
