Rajanna-Sircilla: A senior Congress leader from the district, Maddela Rajanarsu, resigned from the party after he was denied an Indiramma house despite working for the organisation for three decades.
A native of Gambhiraopet mandal, Rajanarsu had served the party in various roles, from NSUI mandal president to SC cell secretary of the erstwhile Karimnagar district. In his resignation letter, he stated that there was no recognition for his long association with the party. His house was damaged ten years ago and, since he owned a house site, he applied for an Indiramma house. However, the sanction did not materialise.
Saying that even a poor party worker was not sanctioned a house under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s regime, he said he had decided to step down. He sent his resignation letter to TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday.
