Hyderabad: Mahindra University (MU) on Thursday launches two state-of-the-art research laboratories – Centre for Advanced Electron Microscopy and InfraX, an integrated civil engineering laboratory ecosystem.
The Centre is equipped with a Zeiss Sigma 360 Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) integrated with AMETEK Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). It offers imaging capability, ultra-high-resolution surface morphology analysis, and precise elemental mapping.
The facility empowers researchers to explore materials at the nanoscale with unparalleled detail. It will support multidisciplinary innovation across materials science, nanotechnology, engineering, biotechnology, and related fields.
MU Chancellor Anand Mahindra said the addition of new advanced laboratories reaffirms the University’s commitment to empowering talent that not only responds to global challenges but also leads India’s march towards innovation and self-reliance.
MU Vice Chancellor Dr Yajulu Medury said the inauguration of the Centre for Advanced Electron Microscopy and InfraX underscores the importance of the university’s efforts in advancing research and innovation.
