Major fire at Chandanagar, flames engulf five-storey building housing furniture and electronics showroom

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at Anu Furniture and Electronics showroom located opposite Chandanagar Police Station on Thursday night, creating panic in the area.

The blaze erupted at the store housed in a five-storey building, where a large quantity of furniture reportedly caught fire.

As per information available, firefighters rushed to the spot with four fire engines and were working to bring the flames under control. Thick smoke and flames were seen billowing from the building as the fire spread through the furniture stocked inside.

The incident occurred along the main road, leading to heavy traffic congestion in the area.

The local police reached the spot and initiated traffic regulation measures to ease the situation.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and further details are awaited.
