Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at the Inland Container Depot of the Container Corporation of India at Moosapet, Kukatpally, on Saturday morning. No casualties were reported in the incident so far.
According to fire officials, the fire started at the depot where a large quantity of material seized for tax duty violations by the Customs Department was stored. A major part of the seized material was liquor smuggled into the country.
On receiving information about the fire, six fire tenders from different fire stations rushed to the spot and doused the flames after battling for nearly two hours. Fire officials are trying to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, while the angle of sabotage is also being probed.
