Major fire breaks out at plywood shops in Hyderabad’s Gudimalkapur
A fire broke out at plywood shops in Gudimalkapur on Sunday morning, gutting property worth lakhs of rupees. Seven fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze, which was brought under control within two hours. The cause is being investigated

Hyderabad: Property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted after a fire broke out at plywood shops in Gudimalkapur here on Sunday morning.
According to fire officials, the blaze started at around 9.30 a.m. Local residents and police alerted the fire department at around 10.15 a.m.
A fire tender from Langer Houz reached the spot initially. As the flames had spread across the shops, six more fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control.
“The fire was brought under control within two hours. We faced difficulties as the shops were closed due to it being a Sunday. The exact cause of the fire is being ascertained,” said Langer Houz Station Fire Officer N. Mahesh.
