Nalgonda: A major theft occurred at the State Bank of India’s ATM at Dameracherla in Nalgonda district late on Friday night.

Burglars the ATM machine and made away with Rs 24 lakh in cash. The involvement of a notorious dacoit gang is suspected in the incident which caused panic in the mandal headquarters town.

Nalgonda Superintendent of Police Sarath Chandra Pawar, who inspected the crime scene, is leading the investigation. The police have deployed special teams to track down the culprits. Police have also stepped up security measures in and around the area.

Residents have been urged to report any suspicious activities and cooperate with the authorities during the investigation.
