A cement-laden truck crashed into a residential school in Mudhole mandal of Nirmal district on Saturday, injuring the driver whose leg was severed in the impact. A major tragedy was averted as students and teachers had already left after half-day school.
Nirmal: A major tragedy was averted when a cement laden truck crashed into a residential school in Mudhole Mandal here on Saturday. However, none of the students, or teachers were injured. However, the vehicle driver sustained injuries in the mishap.
Police said that the impact was such that one of the legs of driver Sanju was severed in the impact. He was immediately shifted to an area hospital in Bhainsa town. No casualties were reported as students and teachers left the institution following the half-day school in view of summer.
