Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said about 99 per cent of citizens from the twin cities were adhering to the lockdown and were very supportive of the police. He was speaking after visiting police checkposts at Mehdipatnam, Humayun Nagar and other areas in the West Zone along with West Zone Joint Commissioner AR Srinivas and other senior officials.

He also inspected the Rythu Bazaar in Mehdipatnam and interacted with vendors there. “The people of Hyderabad are very supportive. The lockdown has been implemented efficiently with the cooperation of the people. We observed that 99 per cent of the people in the twin cities are following the lockdown rules, and action is being taken against those who are not following rules,” Anjani Kumar said.
