Make efforts for rural development: Ajay Kumar tells farmers
Minister spoke at the farmers' meetings at different villages in Khammam and asked the villagers to make collective efforts for the development of rural areas
Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar launched various development works in Chandrugonda and Annapureddypalle mandals in Aswaraopeta Constituency in Kothagudem district on Wednesday. The Minister along with MLA Mecha Nageswara Rao inaugurated Palle Prakruti Vanams Vaikunta dhamams, Rythu Vedikas at Gumpena, Ganugapadu, Ravikampadu and Thippanapalli villages in the mandals.
Ajay Kumar spoke at the farmers’ meetings at different villages and asked the villagers to make collective efforts for the development of rural areas. The State government unlike previous governments was releasing funds directly to gram panchayats and such funds should be utilised effectively.
Later in the day, the Minister laid the foundation stone for Rs 13 lakh CC roads to be constructed at Mamillagudem in 45th division under Khammam Municipal Corporation. Mayor P Neeraja, SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi and others were present.
