Make elaborate arrangements for Nagoba Jatara: ITDA PO

Adilabad: Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA)-Utnoor Project Officer Ankith told the officials concerned to conduct the annual Nagoba Jatara by adhering to Covid-19 protocol. He convened a preparatory meeting at Keslapur village in Indervelli mandal on Thursday.
Stating that the important religious and cultural affair of Mesrams would kick start on January 31, Ankith instructed the authorities of various departments to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the fair. He directed them to ensure cleanliness around the shrine and devotees practice physical distance.
The IAS officer asked the officials concerned to create awareness among the tribals over the need to follow Covid-19 protocol. He told the authorities of the Endowments department to arrange material for performing rituals and decoration of the temple. He instructed the authorities of the Medical and Health department to deploy staffers to attend medical emergencies.
The project officer further instructed the police department to step up security to prevent untoward incidents during the four-day long the fair. He asked them to install CCTV cameras and to set up a help desk enabling devotees to report inconvenience. He told the foresters to make sure VIPs plant saplings and to beautify a park situated near the temple.
Adilabad Revenue Divisional Officer Rajeshwar Rathod said that arrangements were being made by having coordination among officials belonging to various departments. He said that steps were being taken to provide food to participants of the fair and staffers who discharge duties at the fair.
Tribal Welfare department deputy director Sandhya Rani, Nagoba temple governing committee chairman Mesram Anand, Keslapur Sarpanch Mesram Renuka and many others were present.
