Malakpet man arrested for tampering scooter number plate to avoid challans
Malakpet police arrested Mohammed Amer for allegedly tampering with his scooter’s registration number plate to avoid traffic challans. The vehicle was found with altered numbers during a routine check, leading to its seizure and registration of a case.

Hyderabad: The Malakpet police arrested a man for using a tampered registration number plate on his vehicle to evade traffic challans.
The man Mohammed Amer (24), a resident of Shanker Nagar, Malakpet, owns a scooter and was allotted a registration number – TG11C2019 by the transport department. However, Amer tampered with the registration number of the vehicle and changed it to TG112019 and TG11209 on two different number plates. He changed those number plates to evade traffic penalties.
During vehicle checking, the police stopped Amer and checked the registration documents and found that he had tampered with the number plate of the vehicle. The scooter is seized, and a case is registered against Amer at Malakpet police station.
