Hyderabad: ZEE5 is set to release another film this month. Titled JSK – Janaki V v/s State of Kerala, the Malayalam legal drama will start streaming on August 15, just in time for the Independence Day weekend.
The film stars Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles and is directed by Pravin Narayanan. It is produced by J Phanindra Kumar under the Cosmos Entertainments banner.
The story follows Janaki Vidhyadharan, played by Anupama, a sexual assault survivor who takes her case to court. She is supported by senior lawyer David Abel Donovan, played by Suresh Gopi. As the case unfolds, the film raises important questions about justice, truth, and how the legal system handles sensitive cases.
JSK has already received praise for its strong performances and emotional depth. The film features music by Gireesh Narayanan and a background score by Ghibran. Cinematography is by Renadive.
The film will be available in five languages, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, making it accessible to a wider audience across India.
