Malkajgiri civic body demolishes unauthorised structures, clears encroachments

Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation demolished unauthorised structures and cleared encroachments from roads, footpaths and government land on Monday. Enforcement teams removed illegal sheds and roadside stalls from several areas, while officials warned that action would be taken against further violations.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) on Monday demolished unauthorised structures and removed encroachments from public roads, footpaths and government land within Corporation limits.

A press release said that in Jodimetla under Ghatkesar Circle, officials demolished an illegal shed erected without permission. Encroachments obstructing traffic on the road to D-Mart in Uppal Bhagayath Phase-2 were also removed. Roadside stalls were cleared to ensure unhindered movement of vehicles and pedestrians. An unauthorised structure was demolished and encroachments cleared in Karmanghat Hanuman Nagar under LB Nagar Circle-13.

MMC commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy said three dedicated enforcement teams, one for each zone in the corporation, were continuously monitoring illegal constructions and encroachments inconveniencing the public. Action would be taken according to regulations.

Officials advised people not to obstruct public movement by encroaching on roads, footpaths or govt land for unauthorised structures or business activities.
