Malkajgiri civic body gears up for Ganesh immersion arrangements at Saroornagar Lake

MMC Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected Ganesh idol immersion arrangements at Saroornagar Lake on Thursday. Officials were directed to ensure safe immersion, keep swimmers, medical facilities and emergency teams ready, regulate traffic, remove debris and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected arrangements for Ganesh idol immersion at Saroornagar Lake on Thursday and directed officials to complete preparations early.

The officials were instructed to continuously supervise immersion activities and ensure cranes operated properly and idols were safely transported and immersed.

Trained swimmers, medical facilities, support teams and emergency equipment must remain ready, while traffic indicators and signboards should be installed at appropriate locations. Officials were also directed to regulate traffic and prevent crowd congestion.

The Commissioner instructed officials to remove silt, sludge and debris from immersion sites, undertake desilting where required and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
