Malkajgiri civic chief warns cable firms against hanging wires
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy has directed cable operators and internet service providers to remove unused wires and ensure active cables are properly secured.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy said any threat to public safety due to hanging cable wires would not be tolerated.
A meeting was held with cable operator companies and internet service providers on Thursday at the MMC main office in Tarnaka, to discuss the management of hanging cables and wires, and issues related to public safety.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Krishna Reddy said, “All companies must immediately remove unused and unnecessary wires from electric poles.” He advised that currently used cables should be properly secured and not left hanging on roads or in public spaces.
He also advised operators and third-party agencies working in different areas to act with utmost care when providing connections and to manage all cables and wires responsibly.
The Commissioner warned that any threat to public safety due to uncontrolled cables and hanging wires would not be tolerated. He said immediate corrective actions should be taken to prevent inconvenience and danger to the public, otherwise, the respective companies would be held accountable.
