Hyderabad: Two cybercrime cases were solved and two accused were arrested by the Malkajgiri Cybercrime officials during the week from May 3 to 9.

Police said the investigations exposed cyber fraud networks with links across several states in the country.

Officials stated that both cases were related to investment fraud in which victims were cheated through fake online investment schemes promising high returns.

The suspects were traced and arrested after a technical investigation and analysis of digital evidence. In a major relief to victims, the Cybercrime Police also facilitated the refund amounting to Rs 4.31 lakh after obtaining orders from the court.

The amount was returned to the victims’ bank accounts during the week, police added.
