Malkajgiri She Teams arrested 81 people in a special anti-harassment drive between January 1-15. Police registered nine criminal cases and booked 29 petty cases, addressing complaints ranging from phone harassment to stalking and blackmail.

Hyderabad: As part of intensified efforts to curb harassment of women, the Malkajgiri She Teams nabbed 81 persons, including 64 adults and 17 juveniles, during a special drive conducted between January 1 and 15.

During the same period, 97 complaints were received, including 17 related to phone harassment, 36 related to social media abuse and 44 complaints related to direct or physical harassment. The police registered nine criminal cases, booked 29 petty cases and counseled 52 persons.

She Teams also took swift action in several serious cases, including blackmail using personal photos, molestation of a woman on the road, harassment of a college student and stalking of a young woman.
