Malkajgiri steps up Ganesh immersion preparations

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation is preparing Saroor Nagar Lake for Ganesh idol immersion on September 25. Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy reviewed the arrangements and directed officials to expedite pending works and ensure facilities, coordination and public safety.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation is making arrangements at Saroor Nagar lake for Ganesh idol immersion to be held on September 25.

Municipal Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected the lake on Monday and reviewed preparations for the safe, peaceful and hassle-free conduct of the immersion.

“Accompanied by senior civic officials and representatives of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, Reddy assessed the progress of preparations and directed officials to expedite pending tasks to prevent inconvenience to devotees and the public,” according to a press release.

He instructed departments to coordinate, maintain continuous field-level supervision, and provide adequate facilities for the movement of devotees, idol immersion, and public safety.
