The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation is preparing Saroor Nagar Lake for Ganesh idol immersion on September 25. Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy reviewed the arrangements and directed officials to expedite pending works and ensure facilities, coordination and public safety.
The Ameenpur-based Animal Warrior's Conservation Society (AWCS), known for rescuing birds trapped in manja in Telangana, got an alert from some people in Saroor Nagar, following which its volunteers rushed to the spot.
