Malkajgiri traffic police book over 1,000 cases in special road safety drive
Malkajgiri Traffic Police booked 1,093 cases during a special drive against triple riding and dangerous driving on May 27. Officials imposed fines worth Rs 13.09 lakh, with Begumpet recording the highest number of violations during the enforcement operation.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Traffic Police booked a total of 1,093 cases during a special drive against triple riding and dangerous driving conducted on May 27.
On the single day, a total fine of Rs 13.09 lakh was imposed during the enforcement operation.
According to traffic officials, a total of 633 contact cases generated fines worth Rs 7.57 lakh, while 460 non-contact cases resulted in penalties of Rs 5.52 lakh.
Of all the traffic police stations, Begumpet registered the highest number of cases at 144, followed by Vanasthalipuram with 129 cases and Alwal with 121 cases.
Malkajgiri Police said the special drive was conducted to improve road safety across the commissionerate limits.
