Hyderabad: An electrician was arrested by the Bahadurpura police for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl.

Mohd Arif (24), a resident of Bahadurpura stayed near the house of the 15 year-old victim who often visited his house. During one of the visits, Arif took the girl’s phone number and started speaking and chatting with her.

“Arif called the victim several times to his house in absence of his family members and raped the victim. When the family members came to know about it, they approached us and a case was booked,” said Bahadurpura Inspector, Durga Prasad.

The man was arrested on Tuesday and remanded.
