Hyderabad: A man was attacked by a group of persons allegedly over repayment of a hand loan of Rs 2,500 at Jubilee Hills here on Sunday late evening. The incident took place on Road No 51, when one Raju from NBT Nagar in Banjara Hills stopped Gopal, a resident of Mastan Nagar basti and demanded repayment of the hand loan.
“When Gopal along with one of his relative Maraiah was proceeding on a bike, Raju caught hold of him and demanded that the loan be repaid. As Gopal expressed his inability to give the money Raju beat Maraiah,” police said.
Angered at this, Maraiah returned with four of his friends and went to Raju’s house and thrashed him. Raju received minor bleeding injuries. On receiving a call on Dial-100, the Jubilee Hills patrol car reached the spot and brought the situation under control. By then, Raju had already come to the police station and lodged a complaint. He was shifted to the hospital for first-aid.
