Man attacks step mother, her daughter over sharing common properties in Zaheerabad

Two women were seriously injured after a man allegedly attacked his stepmother and stepsister with a sickle during a dispute over family property in Zaheerabad. The victims were admitted to a government hospital, while police registered a case and launched an investigation

Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly attacked his stepmother and stepsister with a sickle over a dispute concerning the division of family property at Bharat Nagar in Zaheerabad town on Tuesday.

The accused, Imran, allegedly picked a quarrel with his stepmother, Shabana Begum (40), and her daughter, Arsha Begum (19), before attacking them indiscriminately with the sickle.

The two women sustained serious bleeding injuries to their necks. They also suffered deep cuts to their hands while attempting to shield themselves from the attack.

The victims were rushed to the government hospital in Zaheerabad, where they were undergoing treatment. Their condition was stated to be critical.

Shabana is the second wife of Imran’s father, Nizamuddin. Police said Imran had been involved in a long-running dispute with his stepmother over the division of family property, which allegedly led to the attack on Tuesday.

Police registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
