Man attacks woman with knife in Kothagudem

The miscreant entered the house asking for her husband Veerabhadram and inflicted bleeding injuries on Banoth Nandini's head with a knife.

Kothagudem: A woman was attacked with a knife by an unidentified man at Machinapet of Julurpad mandal in the district on Sunday.

The woman, Banoth Nandini, was at home with her three-month-old baby when the incident took place. The miscreant entered the house asking for her husband Veerabhadram and inflicted bleeding injuries on her head with a knife.


As the woman started crying in pain, the neighbours rushed to her rescue. The assailant wearing a helmet fled the scene on his motorbike and went towards Kothagudem, the locals said. The injured woman was shifted to Government General Hospital for treatment.
