Man booked for drunk driving dies by suicide outside Hyderabad police station
A 32-year-old man died by suicide after setting himself ablaze outside the Kushaiguda Traffic Police Station in Hyderabad. He was reportedly distressed after being booked in a recent drunk driving case. Police have begun an investigation.

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old man who was caught for drunk driving, died by suicide by setting himself ablaze outside the Kushaiguda Traffic Police Station in Moulali under Malkajgiri Police Station limits on Tuesday midnight.
The victim has been identified as Singireddy Meen Reddy (32), a resident of Dammaiguda.
According to initial reports, Meen Reddy allegedly took the extreme step after being upset over police action against him in a recent drunk and drive case.
Around 2 am, he reportedly poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire in front of the traffic police station. Police personnel who were present there, immediately rushed him to the Gandhi Hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The Malkajgiri Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
Officials said a detailed inquiry is underway to ascertain the reasons behind the suicide.
