Man booked for killing father of wife’s friend in Mancherial
Inspector Ravinder of Chennur reported that a murder case has been filed against Jadi Bhumaiah for allegedly killing Paidipelli Mallaiah, 50, from the same village. The case was registered following a complaint by the victim's son, Rajashekhar.
Mancherial: A man was booked on Sunday on charges of murdering an elderly man at Muttharaopelli village in Chennur mandal on Saturday.
Chennur Inspector Ravinder said a murder case was registered against Jadi Bhumaiah for axing to death Paidipelli Mallaiah, 50 of the same village. The case was registered based on a complaint from the victim’s son Rajashekhar.
Rajashekhar alleged that Bhumaiah killed Mallaiah following some family disputes. It was learnt that Bhumaiah murdered Mallaiah after Rajashekhar eloped with Bhumaiah’s wife Soundarya seven months ago. Bhumaiah attacked Mallaiah when he was on his way home after attending nature’s call.
Police had counselled Rajashekhar and Soundarya when Bhumaiah lodged a missing complaint recently. However, Soundarya expressed her interest to part ways with Bhumaiah and live with Rajashekhar. Following this, Bhumaiah nursed a grudge against Rajashekhar’s family and killed his father. He was reportedly taken into custody, though police are yet to announce an arrest.
