Man commits suicide unable to mobilise funds for daughter’s wedding in Medak
A farmer in Medak district died by suicide after struggling to arrange funds for his daughter’s marriage. He was found hanging in a defunct rice mill. Police registered a case and shifted the body for postmortem

Medak: Unable to mobilise funds for his daughter’s marriage, a farmer Firangi Satyanarayana (50) died by suicide in Narsingi village of Papannapet mandal. Satyanarayana had fixed his elder daughter’s marriage with a man from his community and the engagement was also performed.
As the marriage day was nearing, he found it difficult to mobilise funds for the wedding. Satyanarayana, who left home on Saturday, was found hanging in a defunct rice mill on the village outskirts. The incident left the entire family in shock. Police registered a case and the body was taken to the government hospital in Medak for postmortem.
