Mancherial: A 37-year-old man was killed on the spot when a truck rammed into his two-wheeler at Mulkalla village in Hajipur mandal on Sunday.
Hajipur Sub-Inspector Chandrasekhar said that the deceased was identified as Boddula Srinivas, a resident of Hamaliwada in Mancherial town.
Srinivas suffered fatal head injuries when he came under the wheels of the lorry which dashed the motor bike, resulting in instantaneous death for him. He was proceeding to Mulkalla for a work at the time of the mishap. The lorry was moving in the similar direction. The rash and negligence driving is suspected to be the cause of the accident.
Srinivas is survived by wife, son and daughter. Shirisha, the wife of the victim, lodged a complaint with police. A hit and run case was registered against the driver of the truck who was absconding following the incident. A man hunt was launched for nabbing the accused. Post-mortem of the body was held at district headquarters hospital.
