Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man died by suicide allegedly upset over remaining unmarried due to his physical disability at his house in Kukatpally,
According to the police, the victim identified as P Srinivas from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh had been living alone at Prashanth Nagar in Kukatpally for several years and was working at a local skin care hospital.
Police said Srinivas had a physical disability since birth and lost his father at a young age. His mother, Parvathi, would occasionally visit him.
He is suspected to have been deeply upset as marriage proposals did not materialise over the years, which he reportedly perceived as a social stigma. Recently, a friend named Mahesh had been staying with him for support.
On Wednesday, in Mahesh’s absence, Srinivas ended his life by hanging.
The Kukatpally police investigating the case have recovered a suicide note in which Srinivas stated that no one was responsible for his death.
