Man dies by suicide in Miyapur after accident and illness
A 34-year-old painter, Pradeep Rao from Medak, died by suicide at his Miyapur residence on Monday. Police said he had been depressed after suffering serious injuries in a fall two months ago. His wife reported he was struggling with health issues
Hyderabad: A 34-year-old painter died by suicide due to health issues at his house in Miyapur on Monday.
According to the police, the man, identified as Pradeep Rao, a native of Medak, was living at PA Nagar in Miyapur along with his wife, daughter, and son. He earned his livelihood by doing painting work.
Two months ago, Pradeep accidentally fell from a building while working and sustained serious injuries. Following treatment, he had been confined to his house.
On Monday, when his wife had gone to work and the children were at school, Pradeep hanged himself from a ceiling fan and died, said Miyapur Sub-Inspector J Mounika.
His wife told the police that Pradeep had slipped into depression as he had not been keeping well after the fall, and she suspected he might have ended his life over it. A case has been registered.
