Sangareddy: Worried about the condition of his son-in-law, who was seriously injured in the Sigachi Industries blast, a man collapsed on the premises of Dhruva Hospital in Patancheru, where the victim was undergoing treatment.
According to family members, Mun Mun Chowdary, who sustained grievous injuries in the explosion, was admitted to Dhruva Hospital. When his father-in-law, Birendra Chowdary (53), came to visit him early on Thursday morning, he suddenly fainted on the hospital premises. Birendra Chowdary was immediately admitted to the hospital. However, within 24 hours, the family was handed a bill of Rs.70,000 for various tests and treatment procedures, leaving them shocked.
Unable to afford the mounting expenses, the Chowdary family appealed to Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha to intervene and provide financial assistance for the hospital bills. The family is still struggling to mobilise funds for his treatment.
