Hyderabad: A man, who stopped along with his wife and children on the Durgam Cheruvu cable-stayed bridge to take photographs violating the law, has been slapped with a fine of Rs.2,315.
The man, according to the Cyberabad Traffic Police, was earlier fined for wrong parking and not wearing a helmet. But a few days ago, he again stopped his motorbike on the Durgam Cheruvu bridge, where no stopping is allowed, and parked his bike on the side, while his wife got down along with their kids and began taking photographs on her mobile phone. The man, meanwhile, covered the registration plate of his bike with his wife’s ‘dupatta’. By this time, the Cyberabad Traffic Police saw them via the Surveillance Camera Monitoring Center set up on the bridge and using the public address system, warned them to stop what they were doing.
On hearing the warning, the man quickly fled the spot with his family. The police meanwhile shared the camera footage on social media, asking the public not to resort to such dangerous violations on the bridge.
The man, on the other hand, has been challaned for Rs 2,315, on charges of not wearing a helmet, wilfully withholding vehicle information, triple riding, and stopping on the carriageway.
