Warangal: Task Force police team led by Inspector R Santhosh arrested Mangal Ram at Tekulagudem outskirts near Warangal under Dharmasagar police station limits and found an illegal storage dump of 120 quintals of the PDS rice on Thursday. The rice was seized.

The accused and the seized rice were handed over to Dharmasgar police for further action.

Police said the accused confessed that he had been purchasing PDS rice from surrounding colonies and villages and selling the same to poultry farms and needy persons at higher prices to earn money. The police have also seized two scooters, a weighing machine and a cell phone from him.
