Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force nabbed a man on charges of illegally selling Remdesivir injections in Punjagutta here on Saturday. Police seized six Remdesivir injection vials from them.

The arrested person was M.Santosh (35), a private employee from Madinaguda.

According to the police, Santosh, who was aware of the huge demand for the Remdesivir injections which are being used for treatment of Covid-19 patients, plotted to sell them illegally and make money.

As per his plan, Santosh procured Remdesivir injections from known persons for a minimum price of Rs 3,400 and sold them to customers for about Rs 30,000.

Following a tip-off, the police nabbed him at Punjagutta and seized six Remdesivir injection vials. Santosh, along with the seized injections, was handed over to the Punjagutta police for further investigation.
