Hyderabad: A man allegedly murdered his younger brother and sister-in-law over a financial dispute at Sultanpura in the Mirchowk police station limits on Monday afternoon.

The victims were identified as Akheel Khan and his wife, Ajmeri Begum.

According to B Ramesh, In-charge DCP (South Zone), the police received information regarding a couple lying in a pool of blood at a house in Sultanpura. Police teams were immediately rushed to the spot.

“The couple were brutally murdered. We suspect that Adil, Akheel’s elder brother, committed the crime. Once the suspect is apprehended, further details will be known,” the DCP said.

The police have shifted the bodies to a local government hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way.
