Mancherial: 35-year-old woman electrocuted while drying clothes

The victim was alone at the time of the incident. Some neighbours noticed her body and alerted her family members, who in turn informed police about the incident.

Mancherial: A woman was accidentally electrocuted while drying clothes on an iron wire through which electricity was passing at Madaram township in Thandur mandal centre on Saturday.

Police said that Pulagam Sumalatha (35), wife of auto-rickshaw driver Tirupathi, died on the spot when she touched the wire which was electrified due to faulty wiring.

Police shifted the body to a government hospital in Bellampalli for post-mortem. Based on a complaint from Thirupathi, a case was registered. Investigations were taken up.
