Mancherial: BJP corporators accuse officials of ignoring development suggestions

BJP corporators in Mancherial accused civic officials of ignoring their suggestions on developmental works and acting on the advice of a Congress leader. They also alleged that the State government was not giving due credit to the Centre for funding various projects.

Mancherial: BJP corporators found fault with civic officials for forcibly sending them out of the commissioner’s office while they were raising their voices against the execution of developmental projects. They submitted a representation at the Dr BR Ambedkar statue here on Monday.

The agitating corporators alleged that officials were taking up developmental projects against the advice of the party’s corporators and as per the suggestions of a Congress leader. They accused the Mancherial Municipal Commissioner of ordering the police to drag BJP corporator G Mukesh Goud onto the road for questioning the partiality of the officials.

The corporators further alleged that the State government was not giving credit to the Centre for sharing the cost of various developmental projects. They said that a crematorium was built with funds granted by the Centre, but the government was not highlighting it. They wanted officials to give publicity to the Union government as well.
